Η ΠΑΦΟΣ FC ανακοινώνει τη συμφωνία με την Sporting CP για τον δανεισμό, με οψιόν αγοράς, του ποδοσφαιριστή Mateo Tanlongo. 
Ο Mateo Tanlongo είναι 21 ετών (12/08/2003), αγωνίζεται ως αμυντικός μέσος και κατάγεται από την Αργεντινή, την οποία έχει κιόλας εκπροσωπήσει 5 φορές αγωνιζόμενος με την ομάδα κάτω των 20.
Ξεκίνησε από τα τμήματα υποδομής της Rosario Central, φτάνοντας μέχρι την πρώτη ομάδα, με την οποία πραγματοποίησε 36 επίσημες εμφανίσεις σε νεαρή ηλικία.
Το 2023 έκανε το μεγάλο βήμα παίρνοντας μεταγραφή στην Sporting CP με την οποία έχει 14 επίσημες εμφανίσεις σε πρωτάθλημα, κύπελλο και Europa League.
Την προηγούμενη σεζόν αγωνίστηκε στην Δανία ως δανεικός με την FC Copenhagen και στην συνέχεια ως δανεικός με την Rio Ave.
Ο ποδοσφαιριστής επέλεξε να αγωνίζεται με το νούμερο 16.

Pafos FC announces the agreement with Sporting CP for the loaning of the Argentinian player, Mateo Tanlongo, with an option to buy.
Mateo Tanlongo is 21 years old (12/08/2003) and plays as a defensive midfielder.
Mateo started his footballing journey with the Rosario Central academy, reaching the first team and totalling 36 appearances by the age of 19.
In January of 2023, he made the trip across the Atlantic to join Sporting CP and in that season (2022/2023) he made 14 appearances with the Portuguese giants in all competitions, including the Europa League.
After a brief loan stint in Denmark with FC Copenhagen in the beginning of the 2023/2024 season, he finished the season on loan to Rio Ave, with whom he made 12 appearances.
Mateo has also represented Argentina, having 5 caps for the U20 team.
The player has chosen number 16.
